Loose Parts and Story Materials
Consider adding some of these items to your Story Studio or classroom to invite and inspire your learners to share their stories.
Natural
Collect (and return!) natural materials from your place.
Consider: pinecones, rocks, shells, sticks, tree cookies.
Realistic
Purchase or make items that represent specific things like animals or trees
Consider: plastic animals, wooden trees, peg people.
"Stuff"
Search thrift shops, dollar stores, the art supply cupboard and ask families to donate items that can represent anything.
Consider: bottle lids, beads, pipe cleaners, felt mats.
Art Supplies
Water colours, paint pens, sharpie markers, crayons, pencil crayons, pastels, felt markers, clay and wire, placticene, Crayola Model Magic, stamps and ink pads, charcoal.
Larger Pieces
