How do we do it?
The Learning Adventure
At Mr. Kneebone’s Mind Masters, we believe children learn best when they are active participants in the process. Instead of repetitive drills and one-size-fits-all instruction, we work alongside children as learning partners. We encourage them to ask questions, explore ideas, try different approaches, and develop their own paths to understanding.
Learning is not about simply giving children the right answers. It is about helping them develop the thinking that allows them to find those answers for themselves. Through conversation, games, challenges, and hands-on activities, we encourage children to share their thinking, work through problems, and explore different possibilities.
Every child approaches learning differently. We pay attention to how each child thinks, what interests them, and where they may need support. Rather than expecting every child to follow the same path, we provide guidance and encouragement while giving them the freedom to discover approaches that make sense to them.
Our goal isn't simply to help children finish their homework or master a particular skill. We want to help them become more confident, independent thinkers who understand how they learn. By creating a supportive environment where children can experiment, make mistakes, rethink their ideas, and try again, we help turn learning into something meaningful and motivating.
As an educator, Gavin's role is to provide the support, encouragement, and opportunities children need to explore their thinking. Sometimes that means asking the right question. Sometimes it means offering a new direction to consider. And sometimes it means simply giving a child the time and space to figure something out for themselves.
We don't believe there is one right path to learning. We help children discover their own. The process of how we learn is ultimately more valuable than the product of a task.
What our team specializes in
Intentional Planning: Crafting activities that align with a child’s developmental stage to ensure they are challenged but never overwhelmed.
Responsive Pedagogy: Listening and adapting to each child's unique interests, turning a simple question into a deep learning moment.
Scaffolded Support: Knowing exactly when to step in to provide a "clue" and when to step back to let a child experience the triumph of independent discovery.
By combining the natural curiosity of childhood with the wisdom of professional guidance, we create an environment where a child’s love for learning doesn't just start—it soars.
Note: This is a supplemental education program. We focus on engagement and confidence; we do not guarantee specific grade increases or follow a rigid academic curriculum.
