Where are you located?

While Mr. Kneebone's Mind Masters primarily handles all our business and transactions online, our services are delivered locally in Arnprior, Ontario and teh surrounding areas. 

Is this a tutoring service? Do you provide homework?

While this is a tutoring learning support service, We see ourselves as a complement to traditional school learning. We do not provide homework, focus on standardized test scores or specific grades. Instead, we work to help children discover their "spark" to learning. Our goal is to make children excited about learning while encouraging them to create meaningful connections to the concepts they are presented with every day in the classroom,.  

How do you support children who are struggling or frustrated with their learning?

We remove the "performance anxiety" that often comes with sitting in a classroom. By taking the pressure off and turning the building blocks of literacy into engaging, collaborative experiences, we help frustrated learners rebuild their confidence and see themselves as capable of taking control of their learning.

What are the roles of the educator in the sessions?

The educator acts as a learning partner and guide. Rather than simply delivering instruction, they work alongside each child to understand how they are approaching a concept and and find a direction forward that is meaningful to their own understanding. The educator asks questions, offers suggestions, and provides encouragement that helps children explore different possibilities and develop their own path to understanding. The goal is not to give children the answers, but to help them build the thinking, confidence, and independence to discover them for themselves. 

What age group is this program for?

At the current time, we are focused on providing support for children in kindergarten to grade 5, have a look at our "Availability and Pricing" page for more information.

What are the costs of this program?
