Rose was born in Mexico and moved to the US when she was in the 5th grade. She eventually graduated from Appalachian State University with an English Education degree. As someone who is transgender, an immigrant, an atheist, and who has worked a wide variety of jobs, she has collected a multitude of stories to tell.

She serves as a writer, a thumbnail artist, an editor, and the Executive Director for StoryBook Productions.
