Snowshoe and community members met with Manchin's Staff and NIOSH Staff Engineers - the gist of the meeting was that Senator Manchin wants to hear from the community. So, our next step is to send him letters.

Save the Tygart Watershed Association began monitoring the Tygart Valley River near the project to establish baseline data.
November 2023, Eight Rivers Council launched a scoping project to develop a well and spring monitoring protocol for homeowners to establish baseline information about their drinking water sources.
