The developer VennTerra has proposed an expansion of the 157-acre Hidden Lake Campground off Highway 54. They have proposed 363 RV sites on a property not served by municipal water or sewer.
The proposal covers parcel numbers 162264, 162797, and 162371.
BACKGROUND
On Austin Quarter Road off Saxapahaw-Bethlehem Church Road in Alamance County, developers are proposing a subdivision with 415 lots, with a lot size of 8,000 square feet (0.18 acre). If approved, this development alone could generate an estimated 4,150 added daily car trips on country roads with active farm use. The properties are in close proximity to Saxapahaw, Orange County, Cane Creek and the Haw River.
Alamance County Planning Department records describe the proposal as follows:
"Venn Hidden Lake LLC by Lisa Brewer” - A site plan by VennTerra development company for a 363-lot RV park on a 157-acre undeveloped parcel at 4460 NC Hwy 54, Graham, NC.
This property has no access to municipal water or sewer lines, and would require well water and a community septic system.
