Major Award 3M0935 Employability Skills

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to use a range of skills and tools, under direction and with limited autonomy, related to seeking employment or in employment. It enables the learner develop personal qualities and strengths to make informed choices to pursue a range of employment opportunities or to progress to further education or training.

Learners will be able to :

Demonstrate a moderately broad range of knowledge in a limited range of employability and career related concepts. Demonstrate a limited range of practical and cognitive skills and tools used in preparing for employment.

Achievement of this award will enable the learner to transfer to other appropriate programmes leading to awards at the same level of the National Framework of Qualifications.

Major Award 4M2010 Pathways to Employment (General Learning)

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge, skills and competence in a broad range of personal skills which enable personal development and active citizenship, and progression to employment, or further education or training.

Learners will be able to:

Demonstrate a broad range of knowledge related to general, personal, social and vocational concepts including a concrete understanding of personal, interpersonal, mathematical and computer skills. Learners upon completion of their Major Award also have the opportunity to complete Minor Award 5N1794 Safety & Health at Work as an additional stand alone module of learning
