Quick Summary of the New Update- will take effect on November 29 & 30, the first week of Advent.
Please be sure to read the full document on Mass Resources for complete details.
EMHCs kneel during the Lamb of God if able and move to positions after the priest receives Communion.
EMHCs no longer step onto or cross the Altar; all line up at the bottom of the Altar near the tabernacle.
The priest distributes Communion first to altar servers, then to EMHCs.
When the Precious Blood is offered, EMHCs distributing it stand closest to the tabernacle and receive the Cup from the deacon.
The Host may be given to those kneeling; the Cup is not offered unless the person stands.
If a Host falls, follow proper reverence procedures and notify the MC.
After Communion, place the ciborium on the Credence Table and assist other stations as needed.
Please read the full document on Mass Resources for all details and instructions.
