NORUS (NORway to US) students enrolled in the Biomedical Laboratory Science B.S. program or the Master of Molecular Medicine at NTNU take part in a three-month or ten-month research project, respectively, in laboratories at OSU. In the years 2013-2026, 20 NORUS (18 B.S. and 2 M.S.) students participated in research programs investigating plant organelle biogenesis, development of crop-based biofuels, plant pollen formation, bacterial central carbon metabolism, signaling pathways in fruit flies, and metal homeostasis in fission yeast. Listen to Dr. A. Bird (Department of Nutrition) talking about the NORUS students she hosted in her lab.
Living with host families in Columbus allows NORUS students to experience American life firsthand and enriches their stay at Ohio State. Click here to hear from the host families talking about the NORUS students during their stay at OSU.
