About STI eLearning
STI was founded in 1992 with the initial goal of providing workshops and total immersion experiences in a Spanish-speaking environment for bilingual and Spanish teachers. From that initial program, a methodology was developed that has subsequently been incorporated into a number of textbooks published by McGraw-Hill Inc. and distributed nationally. STI's methodology has helped thousands of educators increase student achievement, teacher quality, and operational efficiency.
In 2001 Dr. Malia LeMond joined STI. Dr. LeMond's experience and research in technology-enhanced second language acquisition accelerated STI's instructional improvement capabilities. STI believes that just as technology has made virtually every other sector in society more productive, the same will happen in K-20 education, providing higher quality education at a lower cost.
In 2008 STI began leveraging its methodology to subjects beyond language education, culminating in the 2011 launch of STI eLearning. STI eLearning helps educational institutions select and implement effective technologies and methodologies resulting in more effective student-centered personalized learning. STI also helps digital learning companies extend their markets, reduce costs, and improve student outcomes by developing or acquiring better technologies and processes.
