STFC CDN+ Celebration Event - 6th October 2023
We are thrilled to announce that we will be holding a STFC CDN+ Celebration Event, in October 2023. Exact date and venue to be confirmed soon!
The day will feature talks from our funded projects and Early Career Researchers, with an overview of outputs and examples of the impressive impact our community has made.
There will also be plenty of networking opportunities, and partners attending with potential news relating to follow on funding.

Funding Call - Application Mentor Scheme Oct 2021
We are now offering applicants the option of being allocated a mentor whilst developing a CDN+ application. Via this process you will be assigned an individual from the CDN+ Leadership Team, who will act as a point of contact to liaise with when developing your application. This will help to ensure that projects submitted are within remit and that all relevant information required is included. A deadline of 10th December 2021 has been set for applicants to be able to run queries via their Mentors. Please note that the mentor scheme is optional for applicants, not compulsory. Please contact Catherine Jackson at jacksonc@liverpool.ac.uk for more information, or if you would like to be allocated a mentor.

Travel Award Call Open 9th September 2019
Applications to request funding for travel and subsistence costs when attending conferences, training, workshops and placements within the remit of the STFC Cancer Diagnosis Network+ are now invited. Job opportunity: Project-coordinator (part-time)
Closing Date 28th June 2019
We are seeking to recruit a part-time (0.6FTE) Project Coordinator at the University of Liverpool. The appointee will be responsible for co-ordinating the STFC Cancer Diagnosis Network+ (CDN). The appointee will work with the leadership team to setup and implement the CDN programme of activities. This will include organising multidisciplinary challenge-led workshops, liaising with key stakeholders, maintaining a website, managing CDN social media accounts and gathering relevant material for e-newsletters. The appointee will also prepare meeting reports, financial reports and will co-ordinate the administrative aspects of CDN research funding. Candidates must have previous experience of working in research administration, co-ordination of events and project management. Excellent organisational and communication skills are required. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience and It is desirable but not essential that candidates have a background in physics or life sciences and experience working with stakeholders relevant to the aims of the CDN, such as the NHS, healthcare industries and higher education sector. The post is available from 1 October 2019 until 31 March 2023.
