1. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, to be the inspired word of God, without error in the original writing, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. ( John 17:17, Psalms 19:7-9, 119:105, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:3-5, 20-21)
2. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1-2:1, Duet. 6:4, Ex 3:14, Isa. 45:5-7, Matt. 28:18-20, 2 Cor. 13:14, Col. 1:15-16)
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate. (Matt. 1:23-25; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Heb. 4:14-16 )
4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age, to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 15:26, John 16:7-14)
5. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:27, 3:1-6; Romans 5:1, 8:1-4; John 3:16)
6. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become the children of God. (Hebrews 9:11-12, 22; Romans 5:1, 8:13-14; John 3:16)
7. We believe that the Lord’s Supper and baptism by immersion are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this present age. These ordinances are not to be regarded as means of salvation but reflect the obedience of faith as we remember what our Lord has done for us. (I Cor. 11:23-26; Matt. 28:19-20)
8. We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are baptized into the body of Christ of which He is the head. Thus only members of the true Church should be eligible for church membership. (I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:1-6; Titus 3:5; Acts 2:47 )
9. We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ before the millennium and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Acts 1:11; I Thes. 4:14-17; I John 3:1-3)
10. We believe that marriage is an institution ordained by God limited to the union of one man to one woman as created in Gen. 2:18-24 and reiterated by our Lord, Jesus Christ in Matt. 19:4-6. It is meant by God to be a life-long commitment in the eyes of God (Mal. 2:16, Matt. 19:6). In its truest sense a Godly marriage reflects the covenant love that Christ has for His Bride, the Church (Eph. 5:25-33).
