The Bible shows us the way to have access to God and receive eternal life.
Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." John 14:6 (NASB)
Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." John 6:29 (NASB)
If you could Know God, would you Want to Know God?
Our Problem: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
Unbelief is sin because you refuse the salvation God has provided.
1. Who is Jesus? Jesus is our Creator.
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:15-17
Jesus is fully God and fully man “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:1,14
Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
John 14:6
2. What has He come to provide? Salvation through the New Covenant in His blood.
Jesus said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.” Mark 14:24
(A covenant is a legal binding agreement, like marriage)
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, And I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people. “And they shall not teach everyone his fellow citizen, And everyone his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ For all will know Me, From the least to the greatest of them. “For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And I will remember their sins no more.” Heb 8:10-12
We receive Salvation through Faith.
Jesus said, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:44
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9–10
3. Do you want Salvation or Judgment at the end of your life?
But now He has appeared one time, at the end of the ages, for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And just as it is appointed for people to die once—and after this, judgment — so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. Hebrews 9:26–28
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
A Prayer for Salvation
Lord God Jesus.
I ask you forgive me of my sin and deliver me from unbelief.
I thank you for dying on the cross
to provide a way of salvation through your New Covenant.
I confess that you are now my Lord and Savior.
I believe that God raised you from the dead providing my salvation.
Thank you for helping me to follow you
with your abiding Holy Spirit and never leaving me.
Amen
