The curriculum was first class was taught to 7th, 8th, and 10th grades in person in 2016-2017. These students learned this routine in 30 minutes.
The summer of 2020 step class was possible students stayed engaged through google classroom, zoom, and videos.

The breakdown of the curriculum: STEP as a Movement 101
The curriculum is designed to bring world of step to the youth of the Greater Kansas City through entertainment and education. The course navigates students through the evoultion of step and its fundamentals. As a result of enrollment into this program students will leave with the knowledge of the art of stepping and ability to create, cultivate, collaborate with others to produce a step performance. This course is available virtually or in-person and is capable to grade levels K-12. Students will attend classes once a week for two hours a day. The final project is a city wide step show to bring all the student together.
