I began my storytelling career in Kindergarten, really, where I first discovered a passion for writing. My professional career, however, began in Los Angeles, working in Development at New Line Cinema, as the studio was enjoying the success of such films as The Wedding Singer and the wildly successful Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. I went on to work for several independent production companies, before returning to New England, where I found success of my own with the sale of my first screenplay, Christmas In Boston, which aired on ABC Family as part of their popular 25 Days of Christmas.
I worked for several years as a copywriter with Boston- and Providence-based agencies before becoming the first Staff Writer for Hasbro’s Cake Mix Studios, and ultimately, the studio’s Lead Writer and first-ever Associate Creative Director. During that time, I co-wrote the book, INsight, with innovative toy photographer, Gianni Lopergolo, who was courageously battling ALS and shortly after, passed away.
I am currently working on an original children's book series and secretly training for American Ninja Warrior with my two awesome kids. Oops...guess that's not a secret now.
Walter Hobbs joined the home office in the winter of 2020 with the goal of bringing new enthusiasm – and utter chaos – to the team. Appropriately named after Buddy the Elf’s dad, Walter’s first assignment was to not eat the Christmas tree. He quickly established himself as top dog, honing his ability to appear on video conference calls and horde a secret stash of flip flops in his anxiety bed to later eat while entirely undetected. His inexhaustible energy makes him always eager to take on new challenges and, well, always eager for 5 o’clock.
