Social Contract

A SOCIAL CONTRACT IS AN AGREEMENT ON HOW WE SHOULD BEHAVE IN CLASS!

Social contracts determine our behavior in almost everything we do....

driving our car, standing in lines, going shopping, eating!!

SOME ADDITIONAL THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:

What if you have homework that you need to get done from another class?

How does the above impact other students?

What if you need to use the restroom when Ms. Shaffer is introducing the next project?

What if you get done with your project early?

What if your project breaks?

How does listening to Ms. Shaffer show respect for her and the class?

What if your not feeling good a particular day, what should we do?

NON-VERBAL SIGNS

TIME OUT:

Time to quiet down and listen to Ms. Shaffer.

She has something to say :)

CHECK:

Non-verbal cue to let each other know we are in agreement.

FOUL:

Non-verbal cue to let each other know we've pushed too far.

1) If it is called, it counts

2) Does not need to be explained
