Google Input Kannada for Windows is an input form editor that allows users to type letters using the English QWERTY keyboard. Users can type a word using Latin characters, and Google Input Software will convert the word to its native Kannada script.

I have installed Ubuntu 15.10. IBus is installed by default. So, now just go to System Settings > Text Entry. Add Kannada phonetic as an input source. Now you can type Kannada easily. Use super+space to switch between languages. The Kannada phonetic keyboard is similar to Nudi on Windows.

Installing ITRANS and configuring all tools required to make it work is a non-trivial task, and unless you already have installed packages such as TeX, dvips, GhostScript on Windows or Unix platforms and configured them correctly, it will not be worth your while to attempt an ITRANS installation.

Pavithra was involved in providing critical hacks for digitization and offered valuable input through suggestions, feedback and Q&A.

For example, as a user searches the words on our system, he or she can see who has used the word in which Vachanas. To improve readability, the searched text string is highlighted in each Vachana that is displayed. To repeat the search for a specific Vachanakaara, the user needs only to click on his or her name on the graph provided on the result page. We have used the MediaWiki jquery-ime input tool architecture that helps us provide the user with the ability to directly enter Kannada text in Unicode for a search.

Our system is extensible with respect to adding new features. We have a review desk for researchers to help with the review of content. Later we will be adding required references to Vachanas from various research works on this literature. The content is available for the public through OpenData API and will be distributed in the public domain through WikiSource once the review work is complete. This will open up the system for students, developers, researchers and anyone interested in working to build linguistic tools for Kannada and other Indic languages.

Results: The intent classification model achieves an accuracy of 97%, indicating its ability to accurately understand user intentions. The integration of a knowledge graph improves the accuracy of scheme identification and suggestion to users. The system automates the process of filling out government scheme forms based on user inputs.

I want to thank the community, and the individual who reported the issue, for your patience as we worked through this issue. For mid- to long-term use, we will continue to thoroughly evaluate other remote participation and collaboration (RPC) tools, such as Zoom, as possible options.

7. In English Wikipedia articles many have tags with some instructions, because they are having resources, and naturally expecting the same. But in kannada, it is utter foolishness to expect such links and supports. Just think in kannada, and act in English. This is not in case of other CIS-A2K members and program director himself as they have been supporting and providing valuable inputs for all work, initiatives even helping proofreading our blogs etc. which is very much appreciated throughout.

I request for a detailed report on what has been achieved from the last years program list where in I myself had contributed ideas and I had also informed that I might not be able to take up all of them single handedly due to personal and professional responsibilities. Shared whatever inputs, technical time, translations, suggestions, comments through the year and even during planning. I feel that there is not enough justice done to that previous list. The present list mostly contains what has been discussed by community not a plan derived to achieve the best results.

Christ University partnership has been a disaster. Please see this quality review initiated and finished with the help of few other Kannada wikipedians. For the entire years work, we have 109 articles tagged under ICCU template which demarcates the work done by the students. None of these articles are of any quality and also all of them fail to have basic reference. The language used in these articles deteriorate the quality of the Kannada wikipedia further. Its surprising that not a single article was touched after the events(edit-a-thon's) conducted for a day or two in this university. None of the community members were consulted or no effort is seen on wikipedia village pump expressing the ideas and taking inputs to run training programs or edit-a-thons in university. Also note that most of these articles are being marked for deletion due to their quality issues.

During this quarter CIS-A2K signed two MoUs with two educational institutes from Odisha for collaborative educational resource building and harnessing academic resources to enrich Odia Wikipedia, other Indic language Wikipedias and Wikimedia projects. It also organized few outreach in these institutions to assess the institutional framework for potential Wikipedia Education Programs. CIS-A2K supported Odia Wikipedia 10 (Odia Wikipedia's 10 year celebration). CIS-A2K supported Odia community in organizing another two days long event Odisha Dibasa 2014 (Odisha's statehood day). With CIS-A2K's explicit request, copyright of 14 books (13 in Odia and 1 in English) were migrated from "All rights reserved" to CC-BY-SA 3.0 license by the copyright holders. An advanced Wikipedia training session was organized for the editors in which some of the experienced Wikimedians shared learning, demonstrated advanced tools, gadgets and brainstormed about the future activities. CIS-A2K's Odia Wikipedia and Odia Wikisource work plans were discussed with the community during various community and also during the advanced session.
