GRAPHIC DESIGN & MULTIMEDIA ARTS Frame by Frame Animation:
SS Component - Its Historical Connections
My reasons for choosing this specific SS component: Shackleton's voyage was a real life event that that took place in the 1915's, so it has real-life historical connections regarding the Voyage that Shackleton and his crew took to Antarctica. They were lost and it took them twenty-one months and two weeks. I choose this specific SS component because Shackleton's voyage has several history connections that I can use in my animation. This story is very inspirational because of the fact that these men had gotten stuck in some of the most dangerous and scary parts of the earth. It was so bad that there were several members who just wanted to wait until they died of starvation or cold, and this just shows how desperate and scary this situation was. This situation all together shows us just how brave Shackleton was to lead his group and convince them to not be scared even though he was just as scared as them. He had to set the example for his crew and thanks to him, the whole crew decided to not give up and look for any way to get back home safely. The crew had to face several hardships thought their journey back home ,so bad that some of the members contemplated suicide. But Shackleton wouldn't allow this. He promised himself and everyone in his crew that he would get them back home safely. Over the course of 2 years, The crew struggled but persisted into getting rescued, and after all that time, they had finally been spotted by an ongoing ship and they all ended up returning home safe and sound to their families, whom had presumed that they were dead.
