Purpose & Goal:
To make a demonstration based on real-life events on how having endurance is never a bad thing and why people should never give up.
Introduction: "Endurance", is a whiteboard animation created by me, Diego Chacon, that was based on real-life events following Ernest Shackleton's incredible journey through the Antarctic. In this animation, the viewer gets to see just how important it is to persevere through situations and never give up. The main Purpouse of my project is to To make a demonstration based on real-life events on how having endurance is never a bad thing and why people should never give up.
Driving Question:
How can you create a whiteboard animation using VideoScribbe to show elements of perseverance?
Materials:
Videoscribe
Photoshop
After Effects
Speechify
Google Docs
Procedure:
I first wrote a script for my animation in Google Docs. After writing the script, I used VideoScribe to make the base of the animation, then I used Speechify to get the narration audio. After all this was done, I used After Effects to add background music and the narrator audio to the animation. Once this was done, I rendered the final product and uploaded the animation to my YouTube Channel.
Safety:
This story shows the viewer the dangers of giving up on something that you want to achieve. While this is an extreme case were giving up meant death, viewers can learn how not giving up may be the safest option they have when doing something. The safety involving the creation of this animation, I made sure to always safe my files, to use CC commons license images when creating the animation and to not have any liquids such as water next to my computer.
Essential understanding:
The driven question is: "How can having endurance be beneficial to you?". By keeping this in mind, I was able to get the idea of Shackleton's voyage and use it to show the viewer how his perseverance was able to save his crew. This relates to acquiring a new knowledge of skills by encouraging the viewer that if they ever want to learn something new, they just have to have perseverance when they reach a road block in their learning process.
Real Life Connection:
Having endurance allows people to continue moving forward while not giving up. Having endurance allows you to go further than others who just give up after encountering a problem. Overall, the real life connection is the ability to maintain endurance even through your hardest times.
