Dr. Sarah E. Pearce graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in education from California Baptist University. In 2006 during her undergraduate work at California Baptist University, Sarah was hired to work at the College of Nursing simulation and learning resource center where she is responsible for collaborating with nursing and technology experts to create realistic and evidenced-based practice simulations. After graduating with her B.S. in Education, and her M.S. in education at CBU, with an emphasis in instructional computer applications Sarah became full time staff at California Baptist University, and was promoted over the course of 4 years from the IPE-LRC Lab Assistant to the Assistant Director of the College of Nursing Interprofessional Education Learning Resource Center,. In 2018 Sarah officially assumed the role of Director of Simulation and Standardized Patients. In addition to her work at the College of Nursing she has been actively involved in live theatre, both performing on stage and behind the stage since 1993. Sarah E. Pearce received her PhD in curriculum and instruction in 2022. She has been recognized in The Press Enterprise on multiple occasions for her excellence within the theater, and continues to play an important role in the Inland Empire's community theater programs. The combination of her educational and theater background plays a large role in her efforts to promote critical thinking, evidence-based practice, realism, and efficiency within the simulation environment. Sarah is currently finishing her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and will begin the dissertation process this fall.
