About SES Foundation:
The Stella Ekpe Samuel Foundation (SES Foundation) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to empowering young, aspiring artists by providing free art education, mentorship, and hands-on training. Founded by Stella Ekpe Samuel, the foundation serves as her way of giving back to society by nurturing the next generation of artists—especially those who have the passion and talent but lack access to proper artistic guidance and resources.
Our Mission
SES Foundation is committed to:
• Identifying and mentoring talented secondary school students with a passion for art.
• Providing free training sessions where students can learn essential artistic skills, from drawing and painting techniques to mixed media exploration.
• Encouraging creativity, self-expression, and career development in the visual arts.
• Fostering a supportive community where young artists can grow and thrive.
How It Works
The foundation operates through structured art workshops conducted in various secondary schools across Lagos.
These workshops can be organized in two ways:
School-by-School Sessions – Stella and her team visit different schools, working directly with selected students over a period of time.
Intensive Art Bootcamps – Students from different schools come together for a three-day to one-week immersive training program, allowing them to interact, learn, and create in a dynamic environment. The program is completely free, ensuring that financial constraints do not limit a child’s opportunity to explore their artistic talent.
The only requirement is parental consent and willingness to support their child’s artistic journey beyond the program.
Impact & Vision
SES Foundation is more than just an art workshop—it is a movement aimed at shaping the future of art in Nigeria. By providing access to quality mentorship and artistic exposure, the foundation seeks to inspire, educate, and create lasting opportunities for young artists.
