Betriebsräte, Tarifverträge und Unternehmenserfolg
Hauptergebnisse
Betriebsräte erhöhen - im Durchschnitt - die betriebliche Produktivität und den Gewinn, vor allem in tarifgebundenen Betrieben. In kleinen und in nicht tarifgebundenen Betrieben finden sich weder positive noch negative Effekte der Mitbestimmung. Dass Arbeitgeber(-verbände) der Mitbestimmung trotz ihrer insgesamt positiven Effekte oft kritisch gegenüberstehen, lässt sich durch die dominierende Rolle kleiner und nicht tarifgebundener Betriebe in den Verbänden erklären.
