I am Professor of Economics at Munich University of Applied Sciences. 

In 2022, I was affiliated at the University of Duisburg-Essen as a Stand-in Professor for Macroeconomics. From 2015 - 2021, I was a Research fellow at the European Commission's Joint Reseach Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, as a member of the Macroeconomic modelling team under the leadership of Marco Ratto.  

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Bayreuth in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Herz. During my Ph.D., I was a visiting scholar at the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in Canberra under the supervision of Prof. Warwick McKibbin.

 I am serving as an Associate Editor for International Economics and Economic Policy.
