I am Professor of Economics at the HM Business School, Munich University of Applied Sciences, and holder of the Jean Monnet Chair Competitiveness and Sustainable Growth for a Global Europe.
I am also a Research Associate of the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University, and I am serving as an Associate Editor for International Economics and Economic Policy.
In 2021-22, I was affiliated at the University of Duisburg-Essen as a Stand-in Professor for Macroeconomics. From 2015 - 2021, I was a Research fellow at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, as a member of the Macroeconomic modeling team under the leadership of Marco Ratto.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Bayreuth in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Herz.
