IT'S COMPETITION WEEK! In the midst of figuring out hotel roommates, rides, and permission slips, the Steel Talons are finishing up the robot! We are so excited for the Anderson competition, and we're hyped to meet other teams and have a fun time overall. Competition is just a WEEK AWAY!!! The Steel Talons are on the grind as we get our final touches down! The Marketing team is going strong getting team spirit and official documents ready. Overall, the team is getting ready to test and prepare for the final stretch. We'll see you next week!
Despite the 3-day school week, the Steel Talons still made lots of progress on the robot! We had a lot of fun during the practice sessions, and it was even more fun to test out components of the robot and see success! With only two weeks until competition, time is ticking, and we'll let you know how we finish up!
The team has made so much progress, and we’re proud of how far we’ve gotten! We have gotten a lot of work done on the arm, and we’re getting to work on improving it to make it work better. Competition is only a few weeks away, so it’s grind time!

The 2023 competition season has started and the Steel Talons are working hard! This week, team members began brainstorming ideas for the final robot. After countless ideas, sketches, and critiques, we have a design to work with! While team members brainstormed ideas, the mechanical team built our drivetrain that the robot will move with. Now, all of the sub-teams are collaborating to build the robot! We’ll keep you posted on what we do - stay tuned!
We've officially kicked off the 2023 season! On Saturday, the 7th, team members met up at school and Georgia Tech. Team members who went to Georgia Tech watched the livestream, participated in some workshops, and brainstormed at the Mercedes-Benz stadium! Back at Mill Creek, students also watched the livestream and began brainstorming ideas. This week, we're beginning the creation process by brainstorming even more ideas.
