During our last season (2021-2022), The Steel Talons saw great success.
At our Columbus competition, our first competition since COVID, the Steel Talons were lucky enough to win the 'Gracious Professionalism' award. This award was created in memory of FIRST creator, Woodie Flowers. The Gracious Professional award was created to reward teams who embody the core values of FIRST Robotics: kindness, professionalism, teamwork, and being a role model to others. These values also represent our team and it was an honor to receive this award in memory of the FIRST creator.
At our second competition after COVID in Albany, the Steel Talons received the 'District Event Winner' award. We received this award because the Steel Talons, along with the rest of our Albany alliance, got first place in the competition. We received this award with the Robolions (#1216) and the Commodores (#6919).
