I Thought of That!


The ability to relax and let your mind wander is an important skill to master. There is so much chaos around us in general, and with the addition of social media it can be very difficult to bring peace to your mind. You try to relaxingly process the world around you, but your mind is stressed out with daily obligations or the latest trends in digital media. 


Your mind provides no value if it is strained. New thoughts, whether it be an idea for an invention or a crazy joke, will not come to fruition when you are in that state. It's like pulling a rubber band to its breaking point and choosing not to stop it before it breaks. When you're under stress, you're almost in a zombie-like state. You're functioning and completing your daily tasks, but you're certainly not an innovative thinker. 


A healthy mind is the key to success. You need to find a way, sometimes very creatively, to take a break and allow yourself to reset. We all want to accomplish as many items on our daily list as possible; however,a burnout will set you back and your loss will only get greater.  Many people will go to social media to relax; however, that is not a relaxing activity unless you are putting on a quiet toned meditation, music, or prayer. Most people have a tendency to go to Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or Twitter which often heighten their senses into a state of chaos instead of relaxation. 


Be protective of your mental health. You often hear this advice associated with preventing disease, but it's incredibly important to protect your ability to process information and come up with solutions. Your next great idea is just around the corner only if you give yourself time to develop it.
