- Refers to cumulative assessments, usually occurring at the end of a unit or topic coverage, that intend to capture what a student has learned, or the quality of the learning, and judge performance against some standard.

3. Technology Assessment Tools Analyze-Venn Diagram
- Go to http://www.classtools.net/education-games-php/venn_intro and choose 2-circle to create your own Venn-Diagram.
- Name your Venn-Diagram and set up the Categories as "Formative Assessment" and "Summative Assessment".
- Put 2-3 Technology Assessment Tools in each category.
