Vanessa Chen was born in the fall of 2005. She is an American Chinese aspiring author. "A Butterfly Universe" is the first book she has ever written. She started working on it in 2016. She read a lot of books about people going on magical adventures, which gave her inspiration for "A Butterfly Universe". Her family and friends give insightful criticism on her stories (that are in progress), which she is very thankful for. She hopes to become a better writer in the future. Other than writing, she also plays piano and clarinet, and does recreational figure skating.
