Setting up Starlink for the first time can feel like a lot at once: an account, a dish, a router and an app, all needing to work together. If something isn’t going the way you expected, you’re not the only one. Write to us, tell us what’s happening, and we’ll help you work out the next step.
Your situation probably matches one of these:
The app won’t let you finish activating. Our guide covers this in “When Activation Stalls.”
The dish is moving or searching for a long time. That’s often normal on day one. “Your First Day: What’s Normal” explains why.
The app says there’s an obstruction. “Finding a Good Spot for the Dish” will help you choose a better place.
You’re unsure where to begin. “The Activation Timeline” lays out the whole job in order.
If none of these fit, keep going. That’s what this page is for.
Describe your problem in your own words, and don’t worry about technical terms. A good message usually has three things:
What you were trying to do, such as adding your kit to your account
What happened instead, including any message you saw
What you’ve already tried, so we don’t repeat the same advice
The more you tell us, the more useful our reply will be. When you’re ready, use the button at the top of this page to send your message.
We reply within one to two working days. Weekends can take a little longer.
A clear answer in plain words, without jargon
Honest guidance, including telling you when something is outside what we can do
No pressure and no rushing
If a paid option ever applies to your situation, you’ll hear exactly what it covers and what it costs before you decide anything
We’re an independent guide, so there are limits worth knowing up front:
We can’t see your Starlink account, plan or billing
We can’t activate a kit for you or change anything on your account
We can’t handle orders, refunds, replacements or damaged hardware
For those, Starlink’s own app or website is the right place.
For your own safety, never put the following in a message to us or anyone else you don’t know:
Your Starlink password
Your kit number
Your card or bank details
We will never ask for any of them, and we will never ask to connect to your computer or phone from far away.
Does it cost anything to send a question?
No. Sending a message is free.
Can you tell me my account status?
No. Only your own Starlink account shows that.
Can you activate my kit for me?
No. Activation happens through your own account. We can explain the steps.
How long until I hear back?
Usually one to two working days.
Is this Starlink’s website?
No. This is an independent guide website.
