Starbase 777 was sent to Varuun II, a non-Federation colony, in order to provide aid following a disastrous flood. 

After crossing a mysteriously placed puddle and a makeshift dam, they began distributing supplies and medical aid, chatting with the colonists as they did. The children asked a few of them in hushed voices about “fixing people" — earning a puzzled response from the officers, and when prompted for more information, they were directed to Elder Lioohn.

She asked the away team for a favor, if they had hands to spare, before leading them down to the watery depths of a temple — there laid EX-A3L, a massive robot more than a century old, stricken by water damage. She had come to the colony a long time ago, revered as a goddess by its inhabitants and had sworn herself to be their protector. In addition to the flood damage, she was getting quite old. 

The away team set to the task of fixing her, much to both her and Lioohn’s gratefulness, and the colony was left in better shape than it was before— proper reparations took time, but the colony would be up and running in no time thanks to 777’s help.
