We consider the Gorn from Strange New Worlds (SNW) to be a different subspecies to those seen in the likes of The Original Series, Lower Decks, and Star Trek Online. Any SNW lore (e.g. how the species reproduce) is not applicable to Gorn characters, and the SNW-style Gorn are not playable.
Star Trek Online's run-up content, Path to 2409, introduced a holographic/synthetic rights movement. This has been excluded from our lore in favour of the canonical Synth Ban.
In Star Trek: Picard and the Prime Universe segment of the 2009 reboot film, it is established that the destruction of Romulus (planet) and Remus is caused by Romulus (star) going supernova. However, Star Trek Online states that it was the star Hobus which went supernova, taking this information from the Countdown comics.
In our lore we have combined the two. When fluctuations were first detected showing that a star might go supernova, there was confusion between it being Romulus or Hobus. It was the Hobus star that first went supernova and this ruptured subspace. In turn it triggered a chain reaction: the energy from the blast triggered Romulus (star) to then go supernova itself.
The combined energy of the two resulted in the destruction of Romulus (planet) and Remus. Referring to this as the Hobus Supernova, the Romulus Supernova, or the Romulan Supernova are all correct.
Path to 2409 and Star Trek: Picard have conflicting canon on the Romulan evacuation. In our lore we have combined the two.
Readings indicating Romulus (star) or Hobus may go supernova were detected at least two years in advance and the Federation started creating a rescue fleet. Starfleet managed to evacuate numerous refugees to the likes of Vashti, but then in 2385 they had to withdraw their efforts due to the destruction of the rescue fleet during the Attack on Mars. When the supernova did occur, Starfleet was deployed again to assist in further relocation and humanitarian aid efforts.
As of Star Trek: Picard (PIC) season three (approximately 2400/2401), our timeline splits from the show and follows Star Trek Online's canon instead. As a result, the events of PIC season three have not occurred in the server's lore.
