On Sunday, 14th Sep 2025, Holy Eucharist at St Anthony Church was celebrated in Malayalam.

The main celebrant was Fr Derin Vaz. Our parish priest, Fr Dominic Adams concelebrated the mass. Fr Derin is a priest of Cochin diocese, Kerala. He was ordained in 2022. Since 2024, he has been a residential staff at Papal Seminary. He is doing his licentiate in philosophy in Jnana Deepa.

Br Akash also accompanied him and was part of the choir.

The mass was followed by a traditional Onasadya which is a pure vegetarian feast served on banana leaves. This was an elaborate meal of more than 20 varied vegetarian delicacies.

The parishioners enthusiastically put up the Pookkalam, which is an intricate floral carpet, near the church  entrance.

Parishioners turned up in large numbers, wearing Onakkodi, the traditional Kerala clothes, to mark the Onam festival.
