About Me.

I am currently a Sr. Research Scientist working in the Large-Scale-Integrated-Photonics (LSIP) group within Hewlett Packard Labs. My research interests typically lie within pushing the state-of-the-art in integrated optics for communications and computing applications. Currently, I have shifted my attention towards the use of ultra-low-power heterogeneous III-V/Si photonics for novel neuromorphic/brain inspired computing architectures as well as general purpose programmable optics. I am also very interested in merging fundamental cognitive science with complementary optical technologies in the effort to build self-aware machines.

If you are interested in my work, please check out my academic publication list at Google Scholar.

I received my PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis under Prof. S. J. Ben Yoo (https://sierra.ece.ucdavis.edu/). Previously, I obtained my M.S. and B.S. from Columbia University, and the University of Southern California, respectively.

Prior to Hewlett Packard Labs, my work experience included stints at PsiQuantum, L-3 Harris, MIT Lincoln Laboratories, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories
