“Run, Run” incorporates dance, theater, physical gesture, voice over, and film to ask the questions: “How do the stories, myths, and fairy tales we hear as children manifest themselves in our adult lives? What are we afraid of, what do we long for, what roles do we force ourselves to play? A true hybrid of dance and theater, Run, Run takes its audience on a journey into a slightly twisted yet familiar world. Yet, in this world, nothing is as it seems…”As your pretty, be wise, wolves lurk in every disguise”.
Archetypes, myths, stereotypes, relationship and response are deconstructed and re-imagined. Through gestural movement, modern dance choreography, and improvisation, we tap into our subconscious and our imagination to explore the emotional and physical responses we experience when our personal mythology gets in the way of our own happiness.
