Thank you to our small team of regular newsletter deliverers for delivering church newsletters to some people in residential homes or supported accommodation. These are much appreciated by people as a way of keeping in touch with the parish and the 'outside world!' If you know anyone who would like to receive a church newsletter through their door, because they can't see this online or aren't able to get out to church at the moment, let us know and we can add them to our list. This project is continuing on a weekly basis.
Thank you to our volunteers and to the pupils of St Peter's, St Simon's and St Philip's primary schools for their help preparing small gifts for over 90 parishioners and local elderly people this year. We have some WONDERFUL bakers who made mince pies, Christmas gingerbread and other delicious treats. Little gifts and other treats were delivered by our 'Christmas Elves'! Thank you all.
Thank you to all our star bakers, packers and deliverers who took 80 packages around the parish for Easter. Thank you to our friends at Culture Bridge, who support refugee and asylum seekers, for the lovely Easter cards and to all those involved. We are gearing up for our 2024 deliveries now!
Thank you to our primary school children and our card makers for some lovely Get Well cards which are regularly used for our parishioners and others who find themselves unwell or in hospital. These are much appreciated!
We received some really colourful and uplifting cards from our Primary schools this summer, which were sent out with little packages of goodies to eat! Thank you to all involved. Honestly, your work makes a real difference when people's lives have been so disrupted by the pandemic

Our recipients were delighted with their mince pies, stollen, gingerbread, biscuits - all delicious and we are not sure how much will last until Christmas Day! Beautiful hand made Christmas cards, fabulous hand knitted Christmas trees as decorations, candles, Shine magazine and printed Mass sheets were included for those unable to come to Mass at Christmas this year, or for those more isolated.
