OLIVE CREST - We will be accepting donations of beach themed Easter Baskets for the middle school and high school kiddos that live at Olive Crest. Please see the details in THIS FLYER. All baskets are due to the church by March 15th. Be sure to label your basket with the appropriate age group: Middle School or High School.
MARCH 8TH – We welcome Rev. Dr. Joanne Martindale back to the pulpit. She is a PCUSA pastor and retired Chaplain, (Col.) in the US Army Reserves. She is also recently retired from the VA as a Chief of Chaplains. She honorably served our troops in Iraq, and 3 years on bases in Germany. She has also served as Interim Pastor to churches in Northern California. She and Julie grew up together and attended Fuller and Princeton Seminary at the same time and have enjoyed adventuring to numerous trips abroad. She has two adult sons and is loving being a grandmother to Skylar, age 2.
PER CAPITA - Our church encourages all members to make an extra donation of $44 to cover their Per Capita fee. Please write "Per Capita" in the memo section of your envelope, check or Zelle payment. Per Capita is a set amount of money per member that congregations pay to PCUSA and Riverside Presbytery. The breakdown of the $44 Per Capita fee is $10.84 to PCUSA General Assembly, $2.85 PCUSA Synod and $30.31 to Riverside Presbytery. Our church pays the Per Capita fee for all members and for 2026 owes $3,344 for Per Capita. We would appreciate your assistance with this. Thank you.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS - St. Andrew has scholarships available for local Presbyterian Church (USA) members who want to attend a four-year college, retrain, enroll in a certificate program, or go to graduate school. To apply for the 2026-2027 year, write a letter of application giving your current accomplishments, your involvement in the church and community as a volunteer or employee, your financial need, and your plan of study for next year, including the institution, the course of study and goals. Email the letter to standrewindio@gmail.com to the attention of the Christian Education Committee, Scholarships. The application deadline is April 29, 2026.
ONGOING COLLECT FOR ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH: We will continue monthly to collect protein items for St. John's Episcopal Church's community food distribution program. The collection box will remain in the Narthex for your donations of canned meats, beans and peanut butter, and the committee will bring the donations we receive to St. John. If you would like the help with packing food for the St. John’s Episcopal Church Ministry, it meets on Thursday, Feb. 26th from 1-3 pm, at 45319 Deglet Noor St, Indio. Thank you for helping our neighbors.
