Tom Bober is a librarian at RM Captain School in Clayton, Missouri who values the amazing learning students can achieve when working with primary sources and media.

He is a 2018 Library Journal Mover and Shaker, former Teacher in Residence at the Library of Congress, a DPLA Community Rep, and member of teacher advisory boards for the National Portrait Gallery and the American Archive of Public Broadcasting. He is the author of: Elementary Educator's Guide To Primary Sources: Strategies For Teaching and Building News Literacy: Lessons for Teaching Critical Thinking Skills in Elementary and Middle Schools.

Tom writes about the use of primary sources and news literacy for national publications, develops and runs workshops and webinars focusing on strategies for students’ uses of primary sources and media in learning. He is also the host of The Primary Source Podcast,  which explores the uses of primary sources, resources and teaching strategies for  K-12 librarians.

Illustrator, London Ladd  (@london_ladd) is a Syracuse resident who has featured artwork in critically acclaimed picture books, newspapers, magazines, and community-based murals. His artwork is a mixture of acrylic paint, cut paper, and tissue paper, to create rich, vibrant textures that bring his artwork to life.

Donna Gray is a Library Operations and Instructional Coordinator for the New York City School Library System. She is interested in developing strategies and programs for all grade levels that help students become engaged life-long learners who are informed, active citizens in their communities and beyond. She has over 20 years of experience in K-12 education, library services, and higher education. Donna has previously worked at the New York Public Library as a Senior Young Adult Librarian, Teacher’s College, and the New York City Department of Education. She received her Master’s in Library Science with a School Library Media concentration at Queens College, CUNY, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College. Donna has worked in K-12, public, and reference library settings and provides professional development for school librarians on working with diverse books in all formats.

Sharon Fox is a Library Media Specialist for the Port Jervis City School District in Port Jervis, NY. She is the creator of the AASL & ESIFC Lesson Plan Templates and is largely interested in information literacy and its connection to both higher order thinking and encouraging curiosity in all learners. She is actively working with Project Look Sharp as part of the Librarians as Leaders for Media Literacy Initiative (ML3) and a Collaborative Activity Production Leader, as well as coaching ML3 librarians in the Hudson Valley.  She received her Master’s of Science in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University and has over 10 years of experience in both elementary and secondary schools. Sharon has provided professional development for educators and librarians on topics including Universal Design for Learning and Media Literacy, Prek-2nd Grade Media Literacy Lessons, and Cultivating Curiosity and Collaboration.
