Our team

Dr. ZZ is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering and Technology Management in the College of Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She received her Ph.D. in Design, Construction, and Planning with a concentration in Construction Management from the University of Florida (2025), under the supervision of Dr. Idiris Jeelani and Dr. Masoud Gheisari. She also holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from Cornell University (2019) and a B.S. in Construction Engineering and Project Management from Beijing Jiaotong University, China (2018).

Dr. ZZ completed an NSF-funded research internship (NSF INTERN) at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), working under the mentorship of Dr. Jim Harris, Chief of the Protective Technology Branch in the Division of Safety Research. Prior to her doctoral studies, she gained industry experience in Singapore during the COVID-19 pandemic, which shaped her research interest in construction safety.

Farhana Yasmin earned her M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and her B.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering from KUET, Bangladesh. Her research interests include additive manufacturing, operations research, production planning, and quality management. She completed a Mitacs internship in Canada on business model validation and feasibility studies for 3D printed products and has teaching experience in mechanical engineering and supply chain management. Farhana has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at international conferences, and received several awards recognizing her academic and research excellence.
