Teachers need access to instruments to set them up for your child's first lesson. It is helpful if the rental companies deliver all of the instruments together.
Rental agreement is between you and the company you choose.
There can be variations in the instruments and services that are offered.
Rentals can be instruments that have been used before.
Question about an instrument? Please ask.
The rental instrument is not the one that you will eventually own.
Helpful questions to ask rental companies:
What is the length of the trial period?
What is the monthly fee for my child’s instrument?
Are rental payments applied to an instrument purchase/rent to own? How much of each payment is credited?
Is there a repair protection fee included in the monthly rental?
What accessories are included and what needs to be purchased separately?
examples- violin/viola shoulder rest- sponge/Everest upgrade, reeds, cork grease/valve oil etc, lesson book, music stand
Can instruments be reserved/rented online?
Who is the School Representative?
What day do they visit the school district during the school year?
Do they deliver additional supplies?
What is the procedure to return an instrument if my child does not continue?

Poorly adjusted and not comfortable to play
Need repairs more quickly
The pitch is simply wrong/instrument produces a low quality tone
