It is important to be able to identify the appropriate decision-making or policy-making body that can make a change because it has jurisdiction over the issue or solution.
Requests for appropriations or money to build, repair and/or renovate facilities or establish and/or fund special programs (e.g. school-to-work transition centers, student court, or mediation programs), or creating or changing laws (e.g. constitutional amendment to give the Board of Education student member the right to vote).
Requests for changes in school regulations, major policies (e.g. 2.0 rule for participating in school activities) and personnel (e.g. Superintendent of Education, Assistant Superintendents, Complex Area Superintendents, Principals, Vice Principals).
Requests for changes in district/complex policies and/or priorities (e.g. re-instating a District Student Activities Resource Teacher/Advisor)
