Building Our Parish Together
Updates, Stewardship, Appeals, and Community Engagement
Updates, Stewardship, Appeals, and Community Engagement
Our Parish is facing drastic changes related to school closure and merger concerns, prompting parishioners to initiate a formal appeal to support a transparent, informed, and faith‑centered decision‑making process consistent with diocesan norms. Our efforts are rooted in faith and guided by truth. We are standing together and fostering collaboration among the Education Commission, Parish Council, and Finance Council to encourage collective planning that ensures the Parish remains steadfast in our mission to protect and strengthen our Catholic community. “Stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught.” (2 Thessalonians 2:15)
We affirm our profound love and respect for our priests and bishop. In a spirit of unity within the Church, we have extended ongoing invitations for their collaboration in our shared mission and will continue to offer this invitation in a sincere effort to build and strengthen a respectful, faithful, and loving relationship.
Additionally, our team has established a dedicated Prayer Team composed of faithful members committed to daily prayer. This ministry is devoted to praying for the conversion of hearts; for respectful, transparent, and fruitful collaboration among the laity, priests, bishops, and the Holy Father; and for a renewed outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit upon our parish and the communities of Potosi and Tennyson. Through these prayers, we seek to support the building of God’s Kingdom and the salvation of all souls.
