This section has a set of 4 very influential guest speakers that I had the privilege of hearing from organized by the academy. I learned a lot of things from these speakers, and they inspired me to take steps in my own high school journey and encouraged me to expand my perspective to all the various things engineering can accomplish, especially because I was interested in integrating it with art and many of these speakers shared very helpful examples of how that was done or other general life skills that help with such a demanding career.
Over the course of the academy, I took 4 field trips, all of which are documented here. These field trips were instrumental in not only broadening my horizons to various engineering disciplines. but allowed me to network, tour colleges, learn more about fields I was previously not very knowledgeable in, and even visit my dream company! I am extremely grateful for these opportunities to see engineering in action outside of school which fuels me to work even harder and dream even bigger.
