Arrival, welcome and assistance at the airport. Leave for Anuradhapura, enroute visiting the fishing village in Negombo which is the centre of the island’s fishing community. Negombo has a large Roman Catholic population. On completion leave for Pinnawela’s Elephant Orphanage, which is home to about 70 Elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Accompany the elephants to a nearby river to see them having their daily baths. After that proceed to Anuradhapura. Night stay at Anuradhapura.
After breakfast at the hotel visit the sacred ancient city of Anuradhapura founded in the 4th century B.C. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1982, and has the largest number of ancient onuments of the great Sinhala civilization, including Ruwanweliseya Dagoba, Thuparama Dagoba, Brazen Palace, the image of the Samadhi Buddha, Twin Ponds, Guard Stones, Isurumuniya Temple and the Moonstone. The ‘Sri Maha Bodhi’ or the sacred Bo tree is the oldest historically documented tree in the world. Proceed to Sigiriya enroute visiting
Mihintale and Aukana. Overnight stay at Sigiriya.
After breakfast at the hotel we cimb the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya built in the 5th century A.D. See the Water Garden, Boulder Garden, Mural ,Paintings, Mirror Wall, the Lion's Paws and the Royal Swimming Pool on top. Proceed to Polonnaruwa (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The Capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th century, Polonnaruwa is strewn with ruins in an excellent state of preservation. Of these the ‘Vatadage’ the ‘Thuparama Image house’ and the ‘Gal vihara’are the most spectacular. Also visit the monuments such as Tivankha Image House, Parakhramabahu Statue, Watadage, Hatadage and Archaeological Museum.
Return to the hotel in Sigiriya for the night.
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, enroute visit Nalanda Gegige and the Dambulla Cave Temple, most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave Temples. Proceed to Kandy. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic followed by a cultural show.

Breakfast at the hotel, then City tour of Kandy (the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings). Visit the otanical Gardens in Peradeniya, originally the pleasure gardens of the Royalty. After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for Horton
Plains, the highest plateau in the country. It is one of the very important National parks in Sri Lanka. The most awesome physical feature of the Horton Plains is the escarpment that falls 880 meters to the lowlands. Aptly known as ‘World’s End’, from the precipice the view of the countryside below towards the south coast is spectacular. On completion return to Nuwara Eliya and proceed to Nanu Oya Railway station to catch the train for a charming train ride to Ella. Ella is an excellent base for keen trekkers. Overnight stay at Ella.
After breakfast at the hotel start trekking in Ella rock and see the magnificent view through Ella Gap. You will see enchanting and spectacular scenery among the tea plantations. Proceed to Yala National park enroute visiting Rawana Water Fall and Buduruwagala temple. 2.30pm Safari jeep visit to Yala National Park. At the end of the safari back to the hotel at Tissamaharama.
Morning -proceed to Mirissa / Unawatuna or Hikkaduwa beach. Visit Matara largest Buddha statue and the Dutch fort in Galle. Night at the south beach.

religious interest to all faiths, which reveals the religious harmony in the country: Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, St. Paul's Church and the mosque which are in close proximity to each
other.In the evening watch a performance of traditional Kandyan dancing and drumming which will include devotional fire-walking.

Breakfast and Leave for Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's medieval capital (11th-12 century). Enroute visit the Muthu Mari Amman temple in Matale and the Nalanda Gedige, with the ancient Pallava style of Architecture.In Polonnaruwa, visit 11th-12 century monuments including the two Siva Temples, and the moonstone sculptures which show the influence of Hinduism.

You will visit the Sri Maha Bodhi, the Brazen Palace, the Ruwanveli Seya Dagoba (biggest dagoba in Sri Lanka), the Thuparama Dagoba, the Lankarama Dagoba, the Elephant Pond, the Abhayagiriya Monastery Complex, the world famous Samadhi Buddha Statue and the Isurumuniya Temple (Stone carving of the Sri Lankan Romeo & Juliet).

Arrival, Welcome and assistance at the Air port and proceed to Chilaw and visit Munneswaram Temple. It is believed that Munneswaram predates the Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was located here. A Shiva Lingam was already here when lord Rama visited the place. Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya with Sita in one of King Ravana's vimanas. He felt he was being followed by Bramhaasthi dosham (a malevolent black shadow) as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. When the Vimana was passing over Munneswaram, he felt the vimana vibrating, and realised the "Brahmaasthi Dosham" was not following him at this particular point. Proceed to Manavari. Manavari is the first place where Lord Rama installed the Shiva Lingam and prayed after the end of the war with King Ravana.
After warm Break Fast at hotel and leave for Trincomalee and visit Koneshwaram temple Myths surrounding the temple of Koneswaram associate it with the popular Indian epic Ramayana, and its legendary hero-king Rama. Koneswaram was developed in the post classical era, between 300 CE and 1600 CE by kings of the Tamil Pandyan and Chola empires, On completion return to Sigiriya for the night.

Leave for Mahiyangana and visit Seetha Kotuwa, Sitadevi was kept in queen Mandothari's palace until she was moved to Sita Kotua and then on to Ashoka Vatika. After noon proceed to Pussallawa and visit Sita Tear Pond and Chariot Path is the place where Lord Hanuman first set his foot on mainland Lanka. This mountain range is believed to be the route in which King Ravana took Sitadevi from his capital city Lankapura to Ashoka Vatika, which was a paradise on earth.Over night stay in Ramboda.
Leave for Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda. En route visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple Ramboda . On this hill of Ramboda where Hanuman was serching for Sitadeve. Upon completion proceed to visit Manikattutheru. This is a rock in Labukelle estate, lord Hanuman met Sitadevi, and on his way to announce this happy information to Lord Rama. After noon visit the Gayathri Peetam temple. This is the first and the foremost temple build for Gayathri Amman in Sri Lanka,
After B/Fast at hotel leave for Walapane and Visit Gawagala King Ravana had his dairy farm here. Milk was air lifted to the capital Lankapura from here using Vimana's. After noon visit Sita Amman Temple. The stream that runs from the hill, catered to the needs of Sitadevi during her stay at Ashok Vatika. She is said to have bathed in this stream. Proceed to Ella via Welimada en route visit Divrumpola. Divurumpola means a 'place of oath'. This is the place where Sita underwent the "Agni" test. She came unscathed and proved her innocence and purity. Upon compleation visit Sthripura and Kanda Kattu gala. shtripura means an area of women in Sinhalese. There are lots of intruding tunnels and caves in this area. This seems to be a part of a great ingenious network of paths, which is interconnected to all the major areas of King Ravana's city. Sitadevi took bath in this very stream and had dried her hair sitting on a rock and put clips to her hair,hence this rock is known as Konda Kattu Gala.
After B/Fast leave for Colombo en route visit Rawana Water Fall and Rawana Cave. These tunnels prove beyond doubt the architectural brilliance of King Ravana. These tunnels served as a quick means of transport through the hills and also as a secret passage and networked all the important cities, airports and dairy farms. Over night stay in Colombo.
Transfer to the Air port en route visit Colombo city and Kelaniya Temple. After King Ravana's death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana.
