Martin luther king's Childhood

• 1929 Martin luther king is born in Atlanta to teach Alberta King and Baptist minister Michael Luther King.
• 1944 Graduates high school at age 15, enters Morehouse College shortly thereafter.
• 1948 Receives BA in sociology from Morehouse College at age 19.
• 1951 Receives degree from Crozer Theological Seminary (Chester, Pa.), enrolls in Boston University Ph.D program.
• 1953 Marries New England Conservatory music student Coretta Scott; they eventually have four children.
• 1954 Becomes minister of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama.
• 1955 Receives Ph.D in systematic theology from Boston University.

• 1960 arrested with 50 others ,makes planes with an activist to boycott both democracy and republican national conventions.

• 1962 Spends time in jail and and meets with President Kennedy
• 1963 gives the I have a dream speech in front of a crowd of 250,000 Writes a letter from birmingham jail
• 1964 named man of the year attendants President Johnson's Signing of the Accommodations bill becomes the youngest person to receive the nobel peace prize until Malala yousafzai got it in 2014
• 1965 from Selma, Alabama Martin luther king lead thousands of people to Montgomery, Alabama to campaign for boycotts. It took 5 days.
