In the middle of Guatemala and Mexico is Belize where I have just arrived with my cousins Manasi and Ankita, my Uncle Bala, Aunt Salija, My parents, and brother. The warm Belizean weather was really getting to me I thought as we got into the air conditioned taxi. The Taxi had 15 seats and more space for more than 7 suitcases. As we cruised toward our seaside hotel The Radisson I looked out and saw the many differences compared to Chicago and Belize City. For one thing I took notice of were the fun dirt bumpy roads instead the paved road I was used to. Of course when we arrived in the belize city there were paved roads.
After we checked into the hotel, dropped our luggage in our rooms and changed into suitable clothes for the warm weather it was evening. We took a walk through the hotels private dock. The sea was a magnificent sight it had perfect blue water and to our left on a rocky shore no one was allowed in stood a towering lighthouse and some flocks of birds I noticed had migrated from the north to Belize green trees also stood on the rocky shore. After admiring the seas beauty we headed to a famous restaurant called Celebrity.
As we quickly realised when they meant freshly caught fish they would literally go out to sea catch your food and then cook it and finally serve. As we all went on empty stomachs we were forced to wait an hour before our food arrived but, it had tasted amazing which had made up for its time . If you ever go to the Celebrity I suggest you eat very lightly before coming because it takes a little over a hour to get it. Some foods to try are the shrimp curry quesadillas, Nachos. I know what your thinking Nachos really that's what I thought when my cousin Manasi ordered it, but it's actually really good with the chicken and cheese. A snapper and I recommend any fish on the menu because they are really good , even if you don't like fish you will like the in Belize. A little before 5 and after a hearty dinner we all walked back to our hotel room to plan for the next day and have a nice rest and enjoy the evening.
