Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is processed by TrafficStats (LiveNetSpeed) (the "Application") and how we protect your personal data.
By installing and using the Application, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
TrafficStats is a lightweight, offline-first system monitoring utility.
No Network Inspection: The Application monitors your device's active network interfaces (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN) solely to calculate real-time download and upload speeds. It does not inspect, read, decrypt, or log the contents of your internet traffic.
No Process Data Transmission: The process bandwidth tracking feature lists the top 5 network-consuming processes running on your local machine using standard Windows APIs. This list is displayed purely in real-time on your screen and is never sent to any external server.
No Database Logging: All daily network data usage numbers are calculated locally and saved on your hard drive (in the Application's local configuration directory). No network logs are stored permanently or shared.
If you purchase the Pro version of the Application through third-party marketplaces (such as Gumroad or Microsoft Store):
Microsoft Store purchases: Purchases made through the Microsoft Store are entirely managed by Microsoft. We do not collect or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or personal billing addresses.
Gumroad Activation: For non-Store premium versions, when you enter an activation key, the Application sends a secure HTTPS request to Gumroad APIs to verify your license key. This is a standard validation check. We do not store any personal identity details in this process.
The Application does not include any third-party advertising, trackers, analytics toolkits (like Google Analytics), or diagnostic telemetry libraries. Your app stays clean, lightweight, and completely private.
Because our Application does not collect any personal data or transmit information over the internet, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
