One Verb Stories (OVS) were a game changer for me and my program. Instead of trying to follow a traditional TPRS story script, I simply follow the same principles used for Card Talk. I begin with a high frequency verb and build a sentence around that verb through story-asking, specifically asking "with whom?" and "where?" For example, maybe I want to create a story with the verb "leaves." Together with my class we find out that Jimmy leaves the Death Star with Baby Yoda. I first build the story and establish the details, then I have the actors act it out. It serves as a much simpler and lower anxiety way to do story-asking.
