After Completeing GES, there are a lot of supplemental trainings to accomplish before you can start training for a specific rating.
All CAP emergency services ratings require additional training from FEMA. Particularly, the IS100 and IS700 courses. Those can be found here:
IS 100c. Introduction to the Incident Command System
IS 700b. Introduction to the National Incident Management System
Upon completing the courses you MUST save your certificate. These certificates must be uploaded into the Operations Qualification section of eServices by following these steps:
Start on the eServices landing page and select the menu.
Under the "Operations" tab, select "Operations Qualifications".
On the blank page select the red arrow next to "Ops Quals". Then select "101 Card".
Type your CAPID into the Search Box.
This is your 101 Card. This card will document all your Active ratings in CAP. Select the blue "View/Upload Documents" button.
Select the dropdown menu under "*What would you like to upload?"
Select whatever FEMA course you are uploading the course graduation document for.
After you have uploaded the supporting documents, you must notify the Emergency Services Officer, or the Deputy Commander for Seniors so they may enter the credit as a rating.
If you are pursuing an aviation rating, such as pilot or aircrew member, you must return to Axis and complete "Aircraft Ground Handling", found under the Operations section of the course catalog, and the "Aircrew Professionalism" course.
Now is a great time to begin pursuing training for different ratings. Talk with the Emergrency Services Officer, or the Deputy Commander for Seniors to figure out what rating is right for you and where to start training. Trainings are also regularly announced in your CAWGCAP email, titled "SAREx" (Search and Rescue Exercise)
