PROTOCOLS

We are eager to reconnect with our fellows and colleagues in person. In planning our in-person convening in Washington, D.C. with the utmost care and consideration, we are sharing the following Covid-19 guidelines and protocols for the 2023 Spring Fellows Retreat.*

We appreciate your feedback and realize that we could have done a better job at the fall retreat communicating our COVID protocols with clear options for people who do not feel comfortable eating indoors with a large group. We want to apologize for any misinformation, particularly regarding the outdoor heaters and mask policy, and assure you that we have put a lot of thought in the meantime into creating more options for our spring retreat to ensure everyone is comfortable. For the upcoming event, masks will again be optional, and proof of vaccination will be required at the Keck Building. You’ll see details on meal locations in the registration survey, as well as an option to indicate that you do not feel comfortable eating indoors. The NAEd staff will do all we can to organize separate group meals at outdoor venues for anyone who does not feel comfortable eating inside.

MASKING & PROOF OF VACCINATION

For the spring retreat, masks will again be optional. However, attendees are required to show proof of vaccination each time entering the Keck Building. A physical vaccination card or photo from a phone of the card are both options. Please be sure to note any special needs or safety related requests in the survey question about meals and eating indoors.

*Please note that this protocol is subject to change, depending on public health guidelines and local and state regulations.
