August Goals

Showing Forth Greater Love to our Neighbors

1) Get to know your neighbors better

a. Invite them to dinner, a game night, or an FHE

b. If you missed your ministering goal last month, this might be another good place to start

c. Go on a walk with them and get to know them better

d. Meet at the church for a playdate

2) Serve Your Neighbor/Extend Love like the Savior

a. Cookie/Service “Pay It Forward”.  Prayerfully consider a family in the ward you could take a plate of cookies to or perform service for.  Utilize the “You Have Been Loved” flyer and encourage them to pay it forward within 2-3 days.  Look for the flyers posted on ward members doors and see how many families can be blessed by ward members service and love this month.

b. We have a large agricultural presence in our ward.  Attend the fair, support youth, ask them about their projects, donate/boost if possible.

c. Mow a lawn, watch kids, help with irrigation – any Christlike deed of kindness

d. Let go of a grudge, forgive an enemy, extend on olive branch of forgiveness

e. Assist the elderly or widowed

f. Welcome someone at church, let them know it’s good to see them.

3) Pray For Ways You Can Serve Your Neighbor

a. Pray for families who have kids going back to school, that it can be a smooth transition for kids and parents alike

b. Dads – offer to give Father’s blessings to your children or reach out to your ministers to assist you

3. To request the Sacrament be administered in your home, call or text a member of the bishopric

4. Stake Temple Recommend Signing is at the Stake Center between 3PM -- 4 PM each Sunday at the Mendon Stake Center.
